If we don’t take Hill too literally, we can give him credit for trying to get a depressed populace to realize that this too shall pass. Economic downturns are cyclical, and eventually, the U.S. would enjoy a recovery. Perhaps I am being too generous with this interpretation; Hill's book did sell more than 20 million copies, many to people who were looking for a quick and easy fix. But in the context of that very difficult time, we can give Hill a pass for reminding Americans of their can-do attitudes and boosting their self-confidence.
Culture Work hard and be very disciplined. Success does not come overnight; you must work hard for it and be disciplined. Without these two, it is almost impossible for you to be successful. It won't be easy, but it can be done. As the famous quote goes, "Heights of great men reached and kept were never attained by sudden flight, but they, while their companions slept, kept toiling onward through the night."
Everything begins and ends with an empowering morning routine. What you do in the morning, sets the pace for the rest of the day. In turn, it dictates the outcome of your life. If you want to be happy and successful, create a set of habits in the morning to help foster that in your life. The right combination of habits executed day-in and day-out can make all the difference.

My opinion is this, if by having what she calls a "growth mindset" allows a person to persevere when faced with challenging situations, is it really so terrible to try to think about ways to instill this type of mindset in our children?
